Meet the Sales Team
Colin Adams- Dealer Principal
It is a tremendous achievement by Colin, made more commendable by the fact that there have only been 3 previous managers in the company’s more than 80 years of trading. Colin should be very proud of the fact that he becomes the first non-family member, dealer principal of G & J East. Colin still leads the sales team as well as being responsible for guiding the 22 staff members through their daily operations. He’s also responsible for the overall leadership, organization, operation and strategic planning for the company. Mark Oster- Salesman
Most farmer’s on Yorke Peninsula would know of Mark or of Oster’s Engineering at Kadina of which Mark was co-owner. For 13 years, Mark designed, manufactured and sold “Oster Boomsprays” throughout South Australia. Mark’s vast background in the crop spraying industry has made his transmission to G&J East very easy. Deb Platten- Sales Coordinator
Deb joined our team in the Sales Department in January 2012. Deb’s role will be to support the Salesmen with their daily activities, promotions and finance deals. Deb comes to us from the Commonwealth Bank and has a background in finance and accounting and will be a great asset to our team. Colin began working for G & J East in February 1985 as an apprentice heavy diesel mechanic upon leaving school. He has worked through the ranks as a service person, spare parts salesperson, parts department manager, machinery sales person, and sales manager and is now the manager of the company.
Tony began at G&J East in 2002 as a parts interpreter. His role involved customer service, stock control and ordering and unpacking parts. He then progressed to the sales department where he has an expanding knowledge of the industry.
Upon leaving school Gary began working at G&J East in 1976 as an apprentice heavy diesel mechanic. In 1999 Gary progressed to the Sales department as a Salesperson. He has been in the sales division for over 20 years and has a sound knowledge of the industry. With Gary’s background knowledge as a mechanic and his experience and expertise in sales he is sure to find something that caters to your needs.
